CLEANING YOUR MAGAZINE OR DRUM
Black Dog Magazines are made with Polycarbonate; this is the same material that is used for bullet proof glass. The magazine is tough and takes heat well, but like most plastics it does have a weakness. Chemical cleaners like Hoppe #9 and acetone or toluene can have an affect on your magazine. Fear not! The solution to this is simple: Remove your mags before cleaning your gun. The cleaners that attack polycorbonate will all air dry in a few minutes. If you want to clean your Black Dog mags we suggest you use warm soapy water.
While assembling your magazine or drum back together, make sure you don't tighten the screws too tight as it could cause stress cracks or damage the magazine and parts.

X Form- 10, 15 & 25 round Instructions: Assembly/Disassembly- Replacing internals/Cleaning
(Read all steps first then start disassembly)
1. Bottom end of the magazine: Using a pointed tool (a writing pen will work) to poke the stopper,
keep a finger over the stopper so the spring doesn’t fly out of the mag body. Remove spring out of the magazine.
2. Take the 6 screws out of the magazine using a 3-32 Allen Wrench.
3. Replace feed lip/internal parts.
4. Re-assemble magazine. Be sure not to tighten the screws too tight.

1. Bottom end of the magazine: Using a pointed tool (a pen will work) to poke the stopper,
keep a finger over the stopper so the spring doesn’t fly out of the mag body. Remove spring from magazine.
2. Take the 6 screws out of the magazine using a 3-32 Allen Wrench.
3. Remove follower.
4. Clean magazine in warm soapy water, let completely dry before reassembly.
5. Insert replacement or existing follower.
6. Re-assemble magazine. Be sure not to tighten the screws too tight.
Installation Instructions Gen 2- 25 round magazine: Disassembly/Assembly
(Read all steps first then start disassembly)
1. Bottom end of the magazine: Using a pointed tool (a pen will work) to poke the stopper, keep a finger over the stopper so the spring doesn’t fly out of the mag body. Remove spring and followers from magazine.
2. Take the 6 screws out of the magazine using a 3-32 Allen Wrench.
3. Clean magazine in warm soapy water, let completely dry before reassembly.
4. Re-assemble magazine. Be sure not to tighten the screws too tight.
